RÉAL CIPRIANO lives and works in Chevy Chase, Washington, D.C. A self-taught artist, he began painting in his early twenties and immersed himself in the local art world while working at the Osuna Gallery in the mid-1980s. After stepping away from painting to raise a family and relocate, Cipriano has recently returned to the studio with renewed energy. He now works primarily in acrylic and mixed media, creating small-format abstract landscapes that explore memory, place, and atmosphere. His work has been exhibited at Touchstone Gallery, Otis Arts Project, and the Friendship Center.
